BEST USMLE TUTOR's Free USMLE TUTORING DEMO Session Discusses Avoidable Mistakes that lead to a low score or even a Failure on USMLE Step 1, USMLE 2 CK or USMLE Step 3.

If your Practice NBME Scores are not where you would like them to be or if you have failed an actual USMLE Step and you think that you need help with your USMLE Step 1. 2 CK or Step 3 Preparation, welcome to the BEST in USMLE Tutoring - BEST USMLE TUTOR - because YOU deserve the very BEST!

Avoidable Mistakes that can lead to a low score or Failure on USMLE Steps 1, 2 CK or 3:

Despite reviewing a ton of high yield materials for the USMLE Steps 1, 2 CK or Step 3, students may still fail because of lack of planning, stamina and strategy! Even things like sleep deprivation, circadian rhythm disturbances, eating, bladder and bowel habits, what to eat and drink, using a break schedule works best for you, whether to stay close to the center or to drive vs take a train or a cab on the day of the test, bad weather, traffic jam can all lead to a low score on a USMLE Step or even a dreaded failure to pass it!

  1. Improper Planning. Plan ahead, practice full length simulations using 2 NBME Self Assessments back to back without checking the score until you finish both and following a schedule that works for you ahead of time and scouting the testing center or even doing the Tutorial at the Prometric center a few days before the exam can all help boost your confidence and score, besides an otherwise solid short preparation for a few weeks that would cover all the high yield material several times.
  2. Sleep Deprivation and Lack of Practicing full length Exam Simulations. Knowledge and Skills on the USMLE exam are both very important, but you being alert, oriented and having a sense of urgency without panicking is a must to do well. You can practice your breathing techniques, eating and sleeping and bowel and bladder habits to help maintain hyper-arousal without panic throughout the test by doing more simulations. An entire question bank such as USMLE world or popularly known as UWORLD should be done at least twice if not thrice until you have no mistakes over no more than 15-20 days right before the test along with 2 quick reads with understanding of the latest edition of your favorite high yield book such as the First Aid for your particular USMLE Step (Recommended by BEST USMLE TUTOR) or MTB.
  3. Not being able to finish the questions. I hear all the time the students taking their USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CK or even the newly revised USMLE Step 3 tell me that they panicked during the test and could not even mark all the questions and failed despite feeling ready before taking their exam! You can learn the art of reverse engineering with BEST USMLE TUTOR and never run out of time on a multiple choice exam like the USMLE.

  1. Not Building the Medical Vocabulary before jumping into USMLE Step preparation. Building the right Vocabulary for USMLE. It also helps tremendously if you do a quick review of Medical Basics (High Yield Vocabulary links suggested by BEST USMLE TUTOR, a quick review of which will help standardize your medical vocabulary with respect to words, numbers, images and sounds discussed in various review books, questions and the actual exam - after all what you will see or hear on the exam will be words, numbers, images and sounds - your comprehension of which will determine your USMLE Score) for 1-2 weeks leading unto your well planned solid preparation.
  2. Taking too long to prepare, think that you can learn it all and score high. Don't stretch your preparation out into months and months... knowing a lot is helpful but if you spread it out, you will burn out and might forget a lot of topics that you reviewed in the beginning. An ideal preparation time would vary and should be individualized based upon many variables which will be discussed during your First Free USMLE Step Online Demo Session.
